Classic Rocking Horses - UK Rocking Horse Makers and Restorers

Our new rocking horses are authentic copies of the best Victorian and Edwardian rocking horses which have been through our workshops for restoration. We do not attempt to improve upon the designs or the construction methods used by the original rocking horse makers, because these have stood the test of time and have been firm favourites of generation after generation.

Choose from our medium or large size, on Safety Stand or Bow Rockers, all based upon patterns taken from Ayres rocking horses selected for their elegant and disinctive style.

The Classic Dappled Grey Rocking Horse on Safety Stand
Our Clasic Rocking Horses are fully carved in the traditional manner and feature the additional muscle carving to the neck and back legs, along with the stepped hoof rail typical of the best Ayres original rocking horses.	This Classic Dappled Grey rocking horse, commissioned by an English Earl for his granddaughter's birthday, is based upon a fine Ayres rocking horse of circa 1880.	Our Classic rocking horse, showing the turned head, fine muscle carving, real horsehair mane & tail, subtle dappling and the lively but friendly face typical of all our horses.

The rocking horse above is shown without a saddlecloth, but you can choose a high quality suede saddlecloth from Red, Navy Blue, as illustrated below (plus Royal Blue, not shown). Colours shown are approximate.

The Classic Dappled Grey Rocking Horse on Bow Rockers

This splendid large rocking horse, around 7 feet long overall, shows the elegant lines of the traditional bow rockers, and is a fine example from our range of new rocking horses. Although extremely decorative, rocking horses on bow rockers do require more space than rocking horses on safety stands because the rocking action causes them to travel. For this reason we recommend safety stands where children are involved. Children under 3 years of age should be supervised at all times.
